How it started

A long time ago my mother was introduced to Endurance Riding through an article in a magazine and she fell in love with the idea. Unfortunately she was unable to take it up at the time but the dream never left her.

Once I was old enough to ride alongside her she finally got her chance to go further than the 20km fun rides she’d done in the past and the family endurance obsession was born.

These days, the daughter has outstripped her mother in terms of ambition and kilometres but we are a family team for everything from training to competition.

The Stables

The sport would be nothing without the equines. See the bio’s below to meet our equine team members.

Puleski

The undisputed legend in the stables, he’s competed all over from 16km to 160km. Technically imperfect he nevertheless has the heart of a lion and the tougher the course, the happier he is.

Double Shot

The horse that should have been born a dog. We’re pretty sure he’s a Labrador in equine form but he’s the protector, the comic relief and is hooves down the best at giving hugs.

Valeo

He’s the newest member of the gang and he’s finding his place in the herd.
He’s chatty and opinionated with a kind nature. He’s very keen to please and tries hard to be a very good boy.

Harepies Magic Mila

The quintessential chestnut mare. She’s stubborn and a few sandwiches short of a picnic but she’s a tough cookie and although she’s been slow to start she’s beginning to blossom.

HS Amelia

She’s flighty and has a tendency to balance on her hind legs and pretend she’s a meerkat but she’s a sweetheart underneath the bluster and she’s probably got the loudest shout of all of the herd.
She is the smallest but she may also be the strongest.

HS Melisande

She’s sugar and spice and everything nice, well mostly.
She’s the baby of the herd but that doesn’t mean she’s bottom of the totem pole.
She’s the ringleader for the youngsters in the field with a nose for mischief and a very sharp brain.
